Choose the Right Delivery for You

Your delivery type determines how your pallet is offloaded. Choose carefully — commercial delivery is significantly cheaper but requires equipment.

Liftgate included — no equipment needed

The freight truck arrives equipped with a hydraulic liftgate. The driver lowers your pallet to ground level. You simply move it from there.

Scheduled delivery appointment

The carrier will call or text to schedule a delivery window. Someone must be present to receive the pallet.

Curbside or driveway placement

The driver will place the pallet at the end of your driveway or as close to your property as the truck can safely reach.

No special equipment required

You don't need a forklift, tractor, or loading dock. Just a helper or a hand truck to move bales once the pallet is on the ground.

No liftgate — equipment required

Commercial delivery does NOT include a liftgate. You must have a forklift, tractor with forks, or a loading dock to offload the pallet.

Lower price per pallet

Commercial pricing is lower because we remove the liftgate surcharge. If your facility can receive freight, you benefit from this pricing.

Business address or job site

Ideal for landscaping contractors, nurseries, HOA management companies, and commercial properties with dock access.

Customer responsible for offloading

The driver will deliver to your dock or facility but is not responsible for offloading the pallet. Ensure your equipment is available at delivery time.

Boxes ship via FedEx Home Delivery. Tracking is provided and no signature is typically required. Western states may take 5–7 days.

Pallets ship via LTL freight. The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment — please have your phone available and respond promptly.

Each box contains 4 bales of pine straw compressed for shipping. Bales should be fluffed before spreading — they expand significantly when loosened.

Shipping FAQ

We ship to all 48 continental US states. We do not currently ship to Alaska or Hawaii due to freight limitations. If you're in a western state, please allow 5–7 days for delivery.
Contact us at sales@pinestraw.com or call 1-800-PINE-STRAW immediately after placing your order. Address changes may be possible before the order ships. Once in transit, address changes may involve carrier fees.
Document any damage with photos at the time of delivery before signing. Contact us within 48 hours at sales@pinestraw.com with photos and your order number. We will arrange a replacement or full refund promptly. Do not refuse delivery — this complicates the claims process.
For box deliveries via FedEx, no signature is required — your order will be left at your door. For pallet deliveries, the freight carrier will schedule an appointment and someone must be present to accept the delivery and confirm the pallet placement.
You'll receive a tracking email as soon as your order ships. For boxes, track via FedEx using the provided tracking number. For pallets, you'll receive a PRO number for the freight carrier. Call us at 1-800-PINE-STRAW if you have trouble tracking.
Contact us immediately at 1-800-PINE-STRAW or sales@pinestraw.com. We can upgrade your delivery to residential (with liftgate) before the order ships, for the price difference. If the order is already in transit, changes may not be possible — please make sure to select the correct delivery type at checkout.
The liftgate delivery includes placing your pallet at the edge of your driveway or as close to your address as the truck can safely access. Drivers are not able to back down private driveways, cross lawns, or navigate tight spaces. Have a plan to move the pallet from the curb to where you need it.
